The Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Radovan Višković, has met today in Nevesinje with the mayor of this municipality, Milenko Avdalović. The Prime Minister Višković said that this local community will always have selfless help and support from the Government of Srpska.
The Prime Minister Višković also visited the memorial room to the fallen soldiers of the Defensive-Patriotic War in the area of Nevesinje, and signed the book of impressions.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Labor and Veterans and Disability Protection of the Republic of Srpska Danijel Egić, the Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs of Serbia Nikola Selaković, the Adviser to the Serb member and Chairwoman of the BiH Presidency Boško Tomić.
As part of his visit to this municipality, the Prime Minister Radovan Višković attended the memorial service and the laying of wreaths at the memorial in the village of Krekovi near Nevesinje on the occasion of marking 148 years since the uprising of the Serb people in Herzegovina – “Nevesinje Rifle”.
“It is high time for the Serbs to realize that without unity there is no survival in these areas, both in the past and now. I call for the unity of the Serb people, at a time of facing numerous challenges, said the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Radovan Višković.
The commemoration of 148 years since the Nevesinje Rifle is organized by the committees of the governments of the Republic of Srpska and Serbia for nurturing the tradition of liberation wars.
