The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik met today at the Government Headquarters of the Republic of Srpska in East Sarajevo with the Assistant Secretary-General of the UN for Europe, Central Asia and the Americas, Miroslav Jenča.

During the meeting, the President Dodik emphasized that the cooperation between Srpska’s institutions and the UN organization is excellent, and their staff is doing a good job, expressing confidence that it will remain equally high-quality in the future.

He highlighted that Srpska seeks objective behavior, not biased approaches, and respecting the Dayton Agreement as written.

The President Dodik informed the Assistant Secretary-General about the serious disruption in BiH caused by illegal interventions by Christian Schmidt, as well as the resolution on Srebrenica which lacked support from BiH’s internal bodies to be included on the agenda of the UN General Assembly.

He emphasized that Bosniak structures have undermined the BiH Constitution by acting unilaterally, further complicating a situation without clear solutions. He pointed out the serious issue of the Constitutional Court, noting the absence of a law governing its operations, and criticized the invention of rules by foreign judges who cannot make decisions and should leave.

The President stated that Srpska insists on full respect for the Dayton Agreement, the closure of the OHR Office, and handing over BiH to European processes.

The President Dodik briefed the UN Assistant Secretary-General that Srpska is stable, meets all its obligations regularly, and despite difficulties caused by American pressures, it achieves remarkable results. He mentioned an increase in the minimum wage and a record number of employed individuals in Srpska.

The interlocutors agreed on the importance of future collaborative efforts on the issue of women’s participation in politics. The President Dodik expressed pride in the fact that some of the most significant positions in Srpska are held by women.

The UN Assistant Secretary-General expressed satisfaction with the sincere and open discussion.

The President Dodik emphasized the importance for Srpska to engage with those who genuinely wish to hear Srpska’s stance and reiterated that Srpska cannot and will not accept imposed decisions.

He also announced that 200,000 KM will be allocated for a safe house in Trebinje, with details to be finalized the following week.

The meeting also covered other current issues in the Republic of Srpska and BiH.
