Members of the BiH Presidency expressed their pleasure with the visit of the Minister Albares, assessing that relations between BiH and the Kingdom of Spain are traditionally good and friendly.
They expressed their gratitude to the interlocutor for the good cooperation so far between BiH and Spain, with a sincere wish that it would be further improved in all relevant spheres in the coming period.
Members of the BiH Presidency thanked Spain for its continuous and strong support in the process of European integration of BiH, especially in obtaining candidate status for membership in the European Union, repeating that there is a unique position in BiH on its European path.
The continuation of Spain's support for the European perspective of BiH was announced at the meeting, as well as the EU enlargement policy and during the Spanish presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2023.
The Minister Albares pointed out that BiH would always have a sincere friend in the Kingdom of Spain on its European path, and this is confirmed by the conclusion of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of BiH and the Kingdom of Spain in order to deepen cooperation in the field of European integration with the aim of providing assistance to BiH on its European path, through the exchange of experiences and knowledge.
