The Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Višković today met with Mohammed Asiri from the Office of the Economic Attaché at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in London, responsible for the Balkans, on the sidelines of the Jahorina Economic Forum.

The Prime Minister Višković and Asiri discussed the existing cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and Saudi Arabia, as well as opportunities for expansion across various sectors.

The Prime Minister Višković emphasized that an agreement has already been reached with the company “Masco” from Saudi Arabia for the construction of a solar power plant in Bijeljina, and contacts have been established with the Saudi Development Fund, which has already approved funding for two projects - the construction of a Student Center in Foča and the establishment of a Science and Technology Park in Banja Luka. He also added that applications for several other projects were submitted in early April.

The Prime Minister Višković stated that the Republic of Srpska offers the most favorable economic environment, including the lowest tax rates, the lowest electricity prices in the region, and skilled and quality workforce. He emphasized that the Republic of Srpska is open to foreign investments, offering assistance from institutions and local communities in the implementation of potential projects.

Asiri participated in the Jahorina forum and praised its high quality, mentioning that he expects Saudi businessmen to visit next year, which would further enhance cooperation opportunities.

Asiri expressed admiration for the natural beauty of the Republic of Srpska and noted the increasing number of tourists from Saudi Arabia visiting BiH each year, mentioning the potential for cooperation in the tourism sector.

Goran Račić, the President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce of Banja Luka was also present at the meeting.
