The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik has attended today in Gradiška the commemoration of the anniversary of the exodus of Serbs from Western Slavonia in 1995.
The President of the Republic of Srpska stated that killing civilians and shelling refugee columns cannot be a victory, as presented by the other side, while Serbs remember their dead.
After the memorial service and the laying of wreaths for the victims of the Croatian army’s criminal operation Flash, the President of the Republic stated that as long as the Serbs remember their dead in the wars of the 1990s, that operation is celebrated on the other side as a victory.
“Victory cannot be the killing of civilians on the doorstep, nor can it be the shelling of refugee columns”, emphasized the President Dodik.
The President of Srpska reminded that Serbia also remembers this martyrdom date, and that on this occasion he spoke with the President Aleksandar Vučić this morning.

The President of the Republic also said that the status of members of the Army of the Republic of Serbian Krajina would be regulated. “Many of them are here today where we have agreed that the members of the Army of the Republic of Serbian Krajina will be recognized as veterans, just as the soldiers of the Army of the Republic of Srpska are. Every time we try to help the people who suffered the most, who lost their family members, property and freedom”, said the President Dodik.
The President of Srpska emphasized that tens of thousands of families had to leave their homes in the Flash operation and seek salvation in the Republic of Srpska.
The President of the Republic of Srpska added that in two days, the martyrdom of the JNA members in Dobrovoljačka Street in Sarajevo will be commemorated, which only speaks of the calendar of Serbs’ suffering and the nature of the conflict.
“You only need to look at the dates of the sufferings and you will see how the Serb people fared. It is a suffering people that has suffered the most out of all peoples. Any platitudes about brotherhood and unity are unacceptable. BiH cannot survive, because it is a question of the history of relations between peoples”, said the President of the Republic.
