The fourth joint session of the Government of the Republic of Srpska and the Government of the Federation of BiH has been held today in Banja Luka.
At today's joint session, seven conclusions were agreed upon:
The Government of the Republic of Srpska and the Government of the Federation of BiH task the line ministries to consider extending the validity of the Decision on the Temporary Ban on the Export of Forest Wood Assortments, which is in force until 31 July 2023 and refers to the ban on the export of logs from BiH.
The Governments task the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction and Ecology and the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism, in cooperation with the Expert and Legal Team, to monitor activities on the implementation of the preliminary impact assessment and environmental impact assessment of radioactive waste disposal at the Čerkezovac location on Trgovska Gora, to exchange information on this issue, involve other competent institutions, the interested public in BiH, with the aim of protecting the environment and the health of people on the territory of BiH.
The Governments of the Republic of Srpska and the Federation of BiH charge the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction and Ecology and the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism to promptly submit all available information, including the views of other competent institutions and the interested public, to the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, as well as to the coordinator of institutions from BiH in this procedure.
At today's session, the Governments tasked the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Srpska and the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications of the FBiH to intensively continue with activities on the realization of the Sarajevo-Belgrade-Sarajevo highway/expressway construction project.
The Governments of the Republic of Srpska and the Federation of BiH agree that it is necessary to continue cooperation between the ministries of the interior in the areas defined in the already signed protocols, memoranda and agreements, with the aim of intensifying the fight against all forms of crime, and to intensify cooperation in the field of police training.
The governments agree that the provisions of the law concerning the execution of criminal and misdemeanor sanctions should be harmonized in the part related to the transfer of convicted persons from one entity to another.
The Governments of the Republic of Srpska and the Federation of BiH propose to the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH to initiate activities for the establishment/continuation of the work of the Committee for Technical Regulations of BiH, in accordance with Article 6 of the Law on Technical Requirements for Products and Conformity Assessment (Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina' number 45/04).
The Governments task the Ministry of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of the Republic of Srpska and the Federal Ministry of Education and Science to initiate more intensive cooperation between the line entity ministries accountable for the field of science and technology on the creation and implementation of programs and projects of mutual interest.
