The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović has met today in her office with representatives of the Union of Students of the Republic of Srpska and the Student Parliament of the University of East Sarajevo.
Plans, activities and priorities of the student organizations in the coming period were discussed at the meeting, as well as the current issues in the field of higher education, enrollment policy, student rights and standards.
On this occasion, the student representatives invited the President of the Republic to participate in the student conference entitled “Thirty Years since the Establishment of the Republic of Srpska and the University of East Sarajevo”.
The President Cvijanović pointed out that she supported every good initiative that came from the student representatives and welcomed the organization of a three-day conference which, as announced, would gather 500 students from public universities in the Republic of Srpska.
The President Cvijanović emphasized that investing in science and education represented the safest investment in the future of the Republic of Srpska, and expressed the firm commitment of institutions to improve the quality and development of higher education, student standard and the position of students.
