Today, the President of the Republic of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, addressed the Meeting on Security Issues in St. Petersburg during its first plenary session on “Ensuring Information Security in the Conditions of Forming a Multipolar World Order: Challenges and Opportunities”.
At the international meeting of high-ranking security representatives, the President Dodik emphasized that the Republic of Srpska is under continuous sanctions led by the United States and is taking all necessary measures for protection.
The President Dodik highlighted the global issue of supply chain crises due to politically motivated sanctions.
“The Republic of Srpska is directly exposed to this type of risk and is under constant sanctions led by the United States. We are diversifying our supply sources to ensure protection”, said the President Dodik.
The President of the Republic stated that the response to this challenge lies in building a multilateral platform and information containing data on all manufacturers and detailed equipment characteristics, which will be overseen by states guaranteeing information quality.
“This approach will enable global access to technical information and supply chain diversification”, emphasized the President Dodik.
Additionally, the President Dodik pointed out the problem of direct cyber threats. “The response to this challenge lies in multilateral intergovernmental frameworks for exchanging threat information”, said the President Dodik.
As a problem, the President Dodik also highlighted the widespread use of artificial intelligence, noting that attacks on systems based on artificial intelligence against state institutions and critical infrastructures can be expected in the future.
“The response to this challenge lies in the necessity of state protection systems to secure national cyberspace”, said the President Dodik.
Protecting children and youth from harmful internet content is considered a top priority by the President Dodik, stating that the Republic of Srpska is approaching this issue studiously through the development of national protective measures.
