The President of the Republic of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, who is participating in the Delphi Economic Forum in Greece, emphasized that this is a major event that has gathered many presidents and prime ministers. He mentioned attending a panel discussion whose theme was the Balkans’ perspectives related to the European path.

The President of Srpska stated that he informed Angelina Eichhorst, the Managing Director for the Western Balkans at the European External Action Service, that initial enthusiasm following the decision on negotiator status is jeopardized by the illegal behavior of Schmidt, leading to a crisis and deadlock.

“If this issue is not resolved, we are entering a period of escalation. Additionally, the situation is complicated by the Srebrenica resolution, which went to New York without the consent of the BiH Presidency. They want to turn Srebrenica into a myth. Despite nearly equal numbers of victims on both sides, only one side has the right to mourn their victims”, the President Dodik said.

The President Milorad Dodik emphasized that Muslims unilaterally initiated this story, and the UN ambassador did this illegally, which is concerning.

“We cannot agree to that story and believe that many things in BiH will not be the same”, the President Dodik emphasized.

The President of Srpska highlighted that if Schmidt’s impositions are not removed, the Republic of Srpska will proceed with passing an election law.

“We will organize a series of events to express that coexistence with Bosniaks in BiH makes absolutely no sense. There are tensions that waste time for both them and us”, the President Dodik said.

The President of the Republic of Srpska mentioned that he also conveyed to Angelina Eichhorst that the US Ambassador to BiH, Michael Murphy, manages the Bosniak political structure and is malicious.

“Murphy is a common speculator. Fortunately, he is leaving BiH soon, and he knows that. We hope that his successor will not be similar to Murphy” the President Dodik emphasized.

The Delphi Economic Forum brings together over 2,500 participants from finance, science, and politics to include public and government institutions, the private sector, and civil society in open debates and discussions.

Yesterday, the President of Srpska met with Angelina Eichhorst, the Executive Director for Europe at the European External Action Service, and the EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Priština Dialogue and other Western Balkans regional issues, Miroslav Lajčák, to convey the clear positions of the Republic of Srpska on events in BiH.

This year’s DEF theme is “Great Transition”, focusing on multiple global transitions through six key themes: geopolitics, sustainable economy and finance, global future, education, planet, and people.
