The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik attended a meeting today in Banja Luka on cooperation possibilities and methods on projects with the Saudi Fund for Development.

The President of the Republic of Srpska emphasized that Srpska has maintained financial stability and is making efforts to further strengthen it.
“When it comes to the Saudi Fund, projects have been approved before, and we do not want to miss out on new opportunities”, said the President Dodik after a meeting with the Prime Minister of Srpska Radovan Višković, ministers, mayors, municipal heads, directors of public enterprises, representatives of institutions, and establishments, where possibilities and methods of cooperation on projects with the Saudi Fund for Development were presented.

The President announced a visit by representatives of Srpska’s government institutions to local communities in the next two months.

The President Dodik stressed that the top leadership of Srpska will visit all cities and municipalities to encourage important projects and ensure necessary coordination.

According to him, the best way to strengthen Srpska is through investments, and currently, preparations are underway to open several significant factories that were established previously, which will be made known to the public.

“We want each municipality to organize teams of young people capable of quickly responding to any open opportunity”, emphasized the President Milorad Dodik.

The President of Srpska reminded that the activities undertaken by the Serb member of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, have opened political doors regarding the Saudi Fund.

The President of the Republic of Srpska highlighted that proof of this are previously approved projects and opportunities that Srpska does not want to miss.

“These are funds that are most favorable and cannot be found, especially today in an unstable world. Interest rates, grace periods, and loan durations are always important, and we believe that what Saudi Arabia offers and what we can engage is currently the most favorable’, stated the President Dodik.

The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik stated that the EU offers six billion euros to the Balkans over the next four years, of which BiH would receive around one billion.

“In the most favorable circumstances for BiH to withdraw it, Republika Srpska could receive around 300 million”, explained the President Dodik, stating that from these funds, 20 percent or slightly more are grants, while the rest are credit funds from European banks and funds.

The President of the Republic of Srpska believes that what Europe demands for this arrangement is too expensive for Srpska, considering that they require many things that Srpska cannot do.

According to the President of Srpska, one of these things is to introduce educational standards within kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, and faculties that Europe is pushing for, but Srpska is not ready for.

“They know this. We cannot introduce these values like LGBT and other things we see across Europe into our schools, and we do not know how it will all look like, but in any case, through this meeting, we want to show that there are other sources that are very credible and very accessible today”, concluded the President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik.
