The Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Višković has attended tonight's ceremonial academy on the occasion of the celebration of St. Peter's Day - the Day and Patron Saint’s Day of the municipality of Trnovo, and on that occasion he received the Charter for exceptional contribution to this local community - the highest recognition of this municipality.
“Congratulations to the mayor, his colleagues and the citizens of Trnovo. To spend this day, first of all, in health and good mood and to celebrate such and similar events for hundreds of years”, said the Prime Minister Višković at the academy held in the Trnovo Culture Center.
The Prime Minister did not hide his satisfaction at the recognition presented to him by the mayor of the municipality, Dragomir Gagović.
“Every person is impressed, whether he/she is the Prime Minister or someone else, when someone appreciates his work. I am glad that the councilors of the Municipal Assembly of Trnovo and the mayor recognized the contribution of the Prime Minister to the overall development of this local community in the past time. The Government of the Republic of Srpska takes care of the balanced development of all local communities, including the municipality of Trnovo. This municipality is small, but it is a very important local community in all segments for the Republic of Srpska. It will be the subject of our attention in the coming period, as it has been until now”, Višković pointed out.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the Government of the Republic of Srpska will continue to invest in Trnovo.
“Through investments in the Jahorina Olympic Center, we have significantly contributed to the development of Trnovo, not only Pale. There is also HPP Bogatić, which significantly contributes to filling the budget of the local community. We worked on the hall, the school, the square. I am especially proud of the square, which bears the name of one of our greatest heroes from the defensive-patriotic war from the Sarajevo-Romania region. In this way, Trnovo repaid the creators of the Republic of Srpska. We invested in road infrastructure. What I am most proud of is that together with the local community, we took housing facilities for multi-member families, in order to keep people living here, to have more children in school, not only to leave in the direction of the cities. I see that this local community looks significantly better and prettier than before, and we can attribute that to the current government, the mayor and his associates, but also to us from the republic government who were there to help whenever needed. There were several natural disasters here, and each time the Government of the Republic of Srpska, together with the municipality, came to the aid of the vulnerable population. We will work together in the coming period as well”, said the Prime Minister Višković.
