The Prime Minister Višković met today in Banja Luka with Robert McEwen, the Executive Director of the consultancy firm “Council for National Policy”, who served six terms as a Congressman in the U.S. House of Representatives representing the state of Ohio.

The Prime Minister Višković briefed Mr. McEwen on the political situation in BiH and stated that the Republic of Srpska advocates for respecting the original Dayton Agreement and the BiH Constitution, emphasizing that any changes should be achieved through consensus among all peoples and institutions, as stipulated. He also discussed the political activities of the U.S. Ambassador to BiH, Michael Murphy, mentioning that those who respect the Constitution in BiH are sanctioned by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, including himself.

The meeting also touched upon the resolution on Srebrenica, with the Prime Minister Višković informing Mr. McEwen that the Republic of Srpska has appointed an international expert commission tasked with investigating the suffering of all peoples in the region during the period from 1992 to 1995. He emphasized that they produced a report autonomously stating that there was no genocide in Srebrenica, but rather suffering for both peoples.

During the meeting, Robert McEwen acknowledged that he knows Serbs have always fought for freedom and recalled the Halyard Operation, which rescued American pilots.

He expressed his pleasure that the Republic of Srpska has representation in Washington, D.C., and offered his assistance. Mr. McEwen noted that better days are coming for U.S.-Republic of Srpska relations, especially regarding the economy.
