Today, in Banja Luka, the President of the Government of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Višković met with a delegation from Belarus, led by the Minister of Industry Alexander Rogozhnik.
The Prime Minister Višković and Minister Rogozhnik emphasized progress in the existing cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and Belarus, highlighting significant opportunities for further development in various areas.
Discussions focused on preparations for an intergovernmental agreement on business and technical cooperation, expected to be signed by the governments of the Republic of Srpska and Belarus in the near future.
The meeting underscored that in addition to economic and agricultural cooperation, there is substantial potential for enhancing collaboration in new technologies, science and education, as well as culture and sports.
The Prime Minister Višković welcomed today’s signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation in Agriculture between the Republic of Srpska and Belarus, noting that domestic farmers can now procure modern agricultural machinery from Belarus under favorable conditions.
The President of the Government of the Republic of Srpska stated that the government is interested in similarly supporting and facilitating the favorable procurement of modern equipment from Belarus for the processing industry, which would benefit manufacturers in the Republic of Srpska.
According to the Prime Minister Višković, the Government of the Republic of Srpska is committed to ensuring that cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and Belarus reaches an even higher level in the future.
Today’s meeting was also attended by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management Savo Minić, and Belarusian Ambassador to BiH based in Budapest, Vladimir Ulakhovich.
