The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik met today at the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya with the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán.
During today’s meeting, the President of the Republic and the Hungarian Prime Minister discussed joint projects in Srpska that are successfully being implemented, as well as the Prime Minister of Hungary’s upcoming visit to Banja Luka.
“This was an opportunity to discuss important issues. Our cooperation is dominant, very successful, and at a very high level. We have noted that everything is progressing as we wish”, said the President Dodik.
The President of Srpska stated that one of the topics of discussion was also the European Union.
“The Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is focused on preserving Hungary as a state, but that does not mean he has any desire to oppress others. It is very difficult not to agree with him. Unfortunately, he is still isolated within the European Union, in terms of demands for redefining relationships and adapting to the modern moment. Of course, we do not agree with sanctions against Russia; we have rejected them and do not place them on the agenda”, emphasized the President of the Republic of Srpska on this occasion.
The President mentioned that Hungary had to redefine its positions.
“In the first half of March, the Prime Minister of Hungary will be in America, and after that, we will arrange our meeting. I believe we can expect the continuation of our discussions by the end of March or beginning of April, regarding the visit of the Hungarian Prime Minister to the Republic of Srpska”, the President Dodik highlighted.
The President of Srpska also stated on this occasion that the alleged news of the Hungarian government discontinuing cooperation with the Republic of Srpska now “falls flat”.
“The kind of relationship Germany is trying to impose on us through political pressure, economic usurpation of projects, and the imposition of Christian Schmidt, is not acceptable”, stated the President of the Republic, emphasizing that when it comes to projects on their territory, Germany misleads the public.
The President of the Republic of Srpska emphasized on this occasion that Schmidt is unacceptable and that he has no intention of meeting with him.
“These are all things we see happening; we present them to our friends every day. When you explain such things, they cannot believe it. Today we have accomplished a very good and quality job, that’s all I can conclude”, the President Dodik declared.
