The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik has met today in Rudo with the management of this municipality.
The President of the Republic of Srpska said that today it is the day when Rudo gains new momentum since the construction of the “Mrsovo” Hydro Power Plant, worth more than 90 million euros, will begin, within the framework of EU standards.
The President Dodik pointed out that former officials also dealt with the issue of the construction of the “Mrsovo” Hydro Power Plant, but that this government managed to return this energy facility to the ownership of Srpska.
“It was returned to the parent company “Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske”, it is being built and investments are being made within”, said the President of Srpska.
The President of the Republic of Srpska said that an agreement was reached with the previous concession holder, the project was purchased and now fully belongs to the company “Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske”.
The President Dodik said that a contract has been made with a Turkish company that has built dozens of similar facilities, and that offered the best conditions, and is now proceeding with implementation without delay.
“The power of the Hydro Power Plant is predetermined by the fact that the submerged land is shortened because what is in Serbia is not included because we would get into formal and legal issues with the BiH level, as it usually happens. That is a total of more than 90 million euros and it is within the EU standards”, it was emphasized by the President of the Republic.
The President of the Republic said that a few days ago, a project related to the “Gornji Horizonti” hydroelectric power plant systems in Nevesinje was opened, and emphasized that Srpska currently has 500 million foreign investments more than last year.
“The Republic of Srpska has good macroeconomic indicators, a historical maximum in terms of the number of employees, and a historical minimum in terms of the number of unemployed”, said the President Dodik and added that more and more jobs are being offered in Srpska, and also that more and more people are choosing a job in Srpska.
In addition to the Rudo-Mioče road, which is financed by Serbia, the President of the Republic of Srpska announced that the section of the road that will bring Rudo closer to Zlatibor will also be built.
“That route is already being broken through and the way it will be built will be defined by the New Year”, it was pointed out by the President Dodik.
The President of Srpska said that “Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske” will be in charge of remediating everything that may be endangered by the works during the implementation of all projects.
“There will be about five million KM for fixing some stream waters, for water purifiers, we will bring asphalt roads to the villages, and we will agree on how to solve it”, said the President Dodik.
