The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik has attended today in Banja Luka the ceremony marking the Day of the Army of the Republic of Srpska and the 3rd Infantry /Republic of Srpska/ Regiment.
The President of the Republic of Srpska said that the formation of the army was a way to defend the freedom of the Serb people, which had experienced great suffering in the past.
“All wars were fought for the freedom of our people. That is why the formation of the army was a logical sequence of events. The army is national, patriotic, defensive and anti-fascist”, said the President Dodik.
The President of the Republic emphasized that the date of its formation is important for the Serb people.
“I am not happy that the army was abolished. I think that the members of the Third Infantry /Republic of Srpska/ Regiment are the ones who inherit the tradition of our army in the best way”, said the President Dodik.
